Responsible To: Team Leader

Purpose of the Role: To process loan applications in accordance with the policies, procedures, and lending guidelines.

Salary: £26,621p.a. 

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 – 4.30pm

Contract: Permanent / Full Time

Specific Duties:

• To approve or reject loan applications according to the Loans Policy
• To prepare loan applications, review appropriate documentation and liaise with applicant to submit any additional information requirements.
• To manage the overall process of loan applications, via our bespoke lending system.
• To conduct loan interviews where appropriate
• To conduct credit searches on loan applicants and review credit reports
• To liaise with members and keep them updated with the progress of their loan applications
• To pay out approved loans to members
• Work to allocated KPI’s
• To liaise with the relevant staff members to improve the overall service provided by CCU to its membership base

Other Responsibilities

• To be aware of and comply with all Health & Safety regulations as directed by the Manager
• To undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by the Team Leader

Skill Requirements

• Previous experience in underwriting or financial sector essential
• Customer Service Experience an advantage
• IT experience an advantage
