Want to join Cambrian Credit Union?

Here’s why.

Cambrian Credit Union is the largest credit union in Wales. It dates back to 1992 when Llandudno Credit Union was founded.
We have over 12,000 adult members and 1,500 junior savers and operate from 5 offices covering the counties of Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flint, Gwynedd, Powys and Wrexham.
As cooperative we are owned by people like you, the people that use us, and our sole purpose is to deliver what you want from us. Because we are owned by the people who use us, we can concentrate on creating real value for our members rather than balancing this with the dividend demands of large institutional shareholders. As a member of the credit union you have a say in how we run things, what our priorities are and you even share in the profits.

Cambrian Credit Union is a fair, ethical and responsible provider of financial products and services covering the counties of Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flint, Gwynedd, Powys and Wrexham.

As a credit union we do not believe in hidden fees and charges, and we do not penalise you if a loan is repaid early. If you want to arrange a loan, unlike many of our banks, we do not solely rely on automated credit decisions based on a credit file. We lend to people and we will take the time to get to know you, and take into account your individual personal circumstances.

All members benefit from regular saving. It allows members to work towards their financial goals and gives them a cushion in an unforeseen financial emergency. Saving regularly reduces the need to borrow from costly sources of credit. Save with the credit union for your holidays, a new car, your wedding, school uniforms, a rainy day fund, birthdays or Christmas.Click here for more details
Cambrian Credit Union exists solely to serve its members. One of our services is to allow members to access loans at affordable repayment rates (maximum of 42.6% APR). Members can borrow from £50-£15,000. Click here for more details
Payroll Savings
Cambrian works with a number of employers within Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Powys and Wrexham to provide employees with a simple method to save money or pay loans directly from their salaries. Click here for more details
Financial Services Compensation Scheme
We are a regulated financial cooperative which means we are subject to broadly the same scrutiny by the Financial Conduct Authority as any other bank or building society. We are also part of the Government backed Financial Services Compensation Scheme so individual savings up to £85,000 fully are protected.  Click here for more details
